Now hiring: escalator technician (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an escalator technician in Kane County, Illinois. You will top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Full-time with occasional weekends.
