Immediate opening: steel fixer (Kentucky)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Hardin County, Kentucky. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
