Immediate opening: shuttering and concrete hand (Louisiana)

Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a residential housing project. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works Your main tasks: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule Full-time with occasional weekends.
