Sand plant operator — Rockingham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
