Sheet metal welder wanted in Kleberg County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Kleberg County, Texas. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal.
