Immediate opening: we are hiring an acoustic insulation fitter in King George County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and specifications • Good knowledge of rockwool, XPS, EPS and PU foam Day-to-day duties: • Install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters • Fit acoustic insulation to partition walls and floating floors • Fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness • Measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
