You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams On the job you will handle: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Part-time with flexible hours.
