Precision welder • Fairfield County, South Carolina

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Fairfield County, South Carolina. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
