Now hiring: natural gas fitter (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Westmoreland County, Virginia. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. Day-to-day duties: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances You should have: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Pay around $31 per hour, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
