Now hiring: we are hiring a crane operator in Lane County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
