Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Watauga County, North Carolina. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off.
