Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Crosby County, Texas. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
