On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
