Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Franklin County, Virginia. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
