Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
