Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Wheeler County, Oregon. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
