Urgent requirement: bar bender and fixer (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Clinton County, Illinois. The job is at a high-rise construction project. On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift You should have: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits.
