We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Schuyler County, New York. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
