Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. You will work at a shipyard. Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
