Great opportunity: GTAW welder (Kentucky)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Laurel County, Kentucky. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush 5+ years on the tools preferred.
