Join our team: we are hiring a scaffold fitter in Madison County, Virginia. The job is at a shipyard. Day to day you will dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely; erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage; inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use; tie the scaffold back to the building with through-ties and anchors; lay scaffold boards and secure them with board retaining clips; erect debris netting, sheeting and brick guards. Requirements: • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Able to read basic scaffold drawings • Good head for heights and comfortable on open platforms We offer $160 per day plus benefits.
