Immediate opening: meat cutter (Alabama)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat cutter in Washington County, Alabama. You will work in a supermarket meat department. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Day to day you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights.
