Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in City of Saint Louis, Missouri. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
