Gas meter installer — Floyd County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Floyd County, Iowa. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Six days a week, one day off.
