On the job you will handle: • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer Ideal candidate: • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
