Now hiring: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You will keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths 3+ years on the tools preferred.
