Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Parke County, Indiana. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
