CNC milling operator — Wahkiakum County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a CNC milling operator in Wahkiakum County, Washington. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe.
