Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Harrison County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Six days a week, one day off.
