Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Colfax County, Nebraska. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE On a typical shift you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges.
