Bar bender and fixer — Etim Ekpo

Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Etim Ekpo, Akwa Ibom State. The role involves: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
