Safety officer — Carroll County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Carroll County, Ohio. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. You will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Six days a week, one day off.
