Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in City of Suffolk, Virginia. You will work at an oil and gas facility. On a typical shift you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
