Occupational health and safety officer — Douglas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Douglas County, Washington. You will work at an oil and gas facility. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
