We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Del Norte County, California. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. On a typical shift you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Requirements: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
