Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Schenectady County, New York. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On a typical shift you will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; read lift plans and method statements before starting; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
