Truck driver — City of Williamsburg

Now hiring: we are hiring a truck driver in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. The job is on long-haul routes across the country. The role involves: • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars Ideal candidate: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Confident with manual handling and load securing Overtime paid at a premium rate.
