Heavy equipment operator (dozer) — Contra Costa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Contra Costa County, California. You will be based at a civil contractor's yard. Day-to-day duties: • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear What we are looking for: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
