Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Clark County, Kentucky. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Your main tasks: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
