Reinforcement fitter • Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates The role involves: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
