Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Sir Powys, Wales. You will work on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 4+ years on the tools preferred.
