Gtaw welder wanted in Blount County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Blount County, Alabama. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
