Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Biu, Borno State. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown The role involves: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality 4+ years on the tools preferred.
