Ladle pourer — Nye County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Nye County, Nevada. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Rotating shifts.
