Now hiring: fire and safety officer (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Midlothian, Scotland. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites Day-to-day duties: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
