The role involves: • Bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear • Diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool • Trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems • Carry out suspension and steering repairs • Replace alternators, starter motors and batteries • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts You should have: • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance • Confident using diagnostic scan tools Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
