Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Ovia South-West, Edo. The job is in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; season and marinate meat on request; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
