Plasterer's mate • Claiborne Parish, Louisiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. You will work on a busy domestic building site. Day-to-day duties: • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads You should have: • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
