Powder coating operator — Schoolcraft County

Join our team: we are hiring a powder coating operator in Schoolcraft County, Michigan. You will be based at a fabrication and coating plant. Ideal candidate: • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes • Able to stand long shifts and lift parts up to 20 kg • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves: • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Sieve and load powder into the spray gun hopper • Hang components on jigs and conveyor hooks for even coverage • Pre-treat parts through phosphating and rinse tanks • Top up and monitor pre-treatment chemical bath concentrations At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
