On a typical shift you will buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting.
